You're Invited!
We need EDM's best students to help us out, and if you are still perusing the Alumni Blog, you are likely the perfect candidate. This is the kind of project the WILL change lives and give Mobile schools an upgrade-- don't let this opportunity pass you by. Contact Anthony Capps or Jamie Lynn Miller for when, how's, and why's at awc802@gmail.com or jamielynn519@gmail.com
When considering this project, think to yourself-- "What would Randy do?"

Anthony and Jamie Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI've thought a little about the new project idea for EDM310. I would love to see the project plan that Sara and her classmate put forth so we can start brainstorming.
When I think about introducting technology into schools that don't have an understanding or practice in place, the first thing that comes to mind is a possible resistance to change. The reason I bring it up is to not discourage anyone on the project but to anticipate the possibility of "no, yea but, etc." so we can prepare to support "yes, and why."
This morning, I found this link on The Innovative Educator. The author gives examples of how to publish work and use technology in the classroom. He also has a link about how to address the misconception that publishing work online can be dangerous.I would love to know your take on it if you have a chance to peek.

What a great idea! I wish I could help, but I moved to Enterprise immediately after spring '10 semester. Perhaps I could share this idea with some teachers at Troy University when I transfer!
ReplyDeleteI think that there are some major issues with the plan that is in process and would love to discuss these with you.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that this is so delayed, I mistakenly did not subscribe to this post. Jackie, here is a link to their final presentation- which is a basic outline of the idea. I hope to have the video up of their presentation as soon as I get in touch the Dr. Strange.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your transfer Jessica. If you need any long distance tech help, we are here!
Martha, I can't wait to hear what you have come up with. Did your meeting ever come about? We need to have one so that we can discuss our new discoveries/ initiatives that took place over the summer, our goals for this semester, and our final project plans. Keep in touch!
